DRAWINGS- Drawing is where I begin to see a thing.  Drawing is the most immediate link betweeen eye and hand, and is the activity closest to that moment of recognition when a work begins to reveal itself.  Drawings are done mainly to please myself, and of all the objects I offer to public view, provide the clearest insight into the process by which images are engaged.

PRINTS-  I began making digital prints in order to preserve drawings that were made using fugitive materials. Almost immediately, the possibilities  of computer enhancement and manipulation of images became apparent.  More recently, a dialogue has developed in which printed images might be reworked by hand with additional drawn and collaged elements resulting in an entirly different image, a creative process not unlike the assemblages.
