PAINTINGS-  Painting is a dance, a constant turning between eye and hand, light and land, paint and perception, spiraling toward a stillpoint where everything comes around right.  With luck and persistence a painter approaches that place, but never quite arrives.  I don't ever regard my paintings as "finished."  A painting, like a life,  is always a work in progress.
