SCULPTURE- Sculpture begins and ends in an obsession with materials.  My material of choice is wood- sections of trees salvaged from construction sites.  These victims of "progress" find new life as works of art, and even in that alien context, retain power to restore us to the lost landscape.  My method of making sculpture is reductive, carving away excess material until the inward form is revealed.  When less ceases to become more, the work is finished.
